UltimatumFree-floating in your essence,
the precipice was a hollow promise
fulfilled in mercy and faith,
I fell into you,
into trust itself.
This love beyond cautionary theorem,
empirical,
transcending doubt,
over the walls of the regal bastion
that guards your true grace.
You are the subject
of cryptic fortunes,
revelations refer to
what one could find in you,
I found you
when I was looking for myself.
Through you I effervesce,
all matter explodes and
careens away
in vibrant clouds,
and in the chaos
settles everything that's
real to us,
where we can create
in grandiosity,
in unison.

BlindsightIn blind years past,
the dust floating in the shadows
winked at me.
Her secrets
swallowed her whole.

Much like a
mirage in the dark,
her fingers graced my lips.
I awoke;
body and soul, dry.

I can only imagine
that she's flourishing in
a beautiful garden,
where life
can grow honestly.

I hope you live
much like your scent
and your spectral visage
linger on
wherever I may go.

PilgrimageFrom my wayward hovel
to a shimmering land
of monolithic light,
it's this long walk
in between that matters.
With blind faith
I'll weather the changes
and the confusion,
I'll grow weary
and lose what I can't keep
until what I have to give
is what was important
all along.
Who will I be then?

Virgin EagleI saw you in the rockface,
strange majesty
nestled within a crevice
of possibility.
You're roosting
in a crown of thorns,
any move you make
may be painful,
but one day you might
have to fall
before you can fly.

The Good In AllThe good in all,
just emptiness to expand
and take in the bad,
the incorrigible need to corrupt
lives and breeds
in this same space.
Primal threats trudging
out of dark corners,
chaotic circumstance
careening through the black
like a bullet through the brain,
it's not the truth
but the true essence of life,
what just is,
that shatters perceived beauty
and corrodes innocence
as if it were all wrong.

Drifting Through AirwavesJust a whisper from you
can reverberate within me
and shake me up
like everything is going to fall.

Distance heightens sensitivity
as the words echo over miles
and gain momentum
until they're unstoppable.

I look to the sky with
hope and fear,
maybe you're abstract
like the clouds; unreachable.

And if I climb up there,
will you be what
I've imagined from afar?
And how long could I fly?

Maybe we'll transcend the air
and shape the horizon,
or I'll descend into the world
I've known all along.
